3rd Anniversary!

Last night we celebrated our 3rd Wedding Anniversary!! It was fun to go out to dinner and to think of all that we have gone through as a couple and how we have gotten to this point.

It is now 2010 and that being the case I realized that Brad and I have been in eachothers lives now for 10 years. It started with me inviting him to my sweet sixteen Barbie Party because I thought he was cute and consisted of us dating and then not dating, writing to each other and then not writing, then to disliking each other, to then casual long distance conversations, then multiple trips to visit one another, then to marriage.

And now three years after our wedding, we are now pregnant with our first child!

Good times...I would not change our story for anything! Happy Anniversary to us!

I am now closer to 30 then I am 20. I am not going to lie, it was kind of a hard birthday to swallow, but still good. I think it was harder than normal because in my head I still feel like I am 21.

We were able to go out to one of my favorite restaurants for dinner, and then we went over to my sister in laws for cake and ice cream.

It was nice to celebrate my birthday having family here. And it was also kind of a surreal birthday considering how I am pregnant; so it was all the more special to realize we will celebrate our sons birthday sometime within the next 3 weeks.

This year we were lucky to have Mom and Dad Hawkins as well as Tommy, Ben and Mere Hawkins and Emily and Nate Smith and there two cuties, Elle and Truman come to Phoenix for the holidays. It was fun to take them to our favorite places, and to show them a bit of what the Ashby life is like in Arizona.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Here I am in Ventura California where we had thanksgiving dinner with family!(kind of family; my second cousins wifes brothers house). Awesome view none the less. The boat behind me has literally been around the world.

And the awesome purchase of the week! My Cricut Cutter. Emily has the larger version and I got to use hers and so when we saw this smaller one on sale for $70 down from $200 for a all day DOOR BUSTER at Michaels craft store. I had to get it! Needless to say, I am thrilled and this is my Christmas present.

It was such a nice weekend and so much fun to hang out. Thank you to the Smiths! Sorry the pictures are not the best of my belly. I wore black to be flattering and the other pics are only head shots. Prego pics to come, don't worry.

Baby Shower!

So, my good friends were kind enough to throw me a baby shower. The best part was the surprise visit by Mama Ashby and Jill (Brads #2 sister). Suzi (sister #3) was also able to be there as she lives only 20 minutes away. Needless to say it was so nice to have family and close friends get together. People were more than generous. It is obvious that our little prince is already spoiled.
