Jonathan's Baby Blessing

Today was my proudest moment as a mother. I loved watching Brad exercise his priesthood to bless our son. Jonathan's blessing was wonderful! We had a great 'Cafe Rio' style lunch after the blessing at the Hawkins. The last picture is of Stevie and Jonathan. They are two of three grandchildren (3 boys) being born in a years time for the Ashby family.

CONGRATULATIONS to BRAD for graduating Cum Laude from ASU Law School, Class of 2010! He has worked his tooshee off these past couple of years and it shows, being the top of his class. He has made some great friends and the graduation ended up being really nice. We will miss Phoenix and ASU. GO SUN DEVILS!

Crossing things off our list before we leave...

Jonathan has been sleeping while Brad has been working hard at finals and me packing us up. Brad had wanted to hike Camelback before we left and I wanted a pic in front of the Ahwatukee sign. I know, simple joys. So our good old friends the Crandalls helped us out.

Ahwatukee (pronounced: "Ah-wa-too-key") is the name of the suburb we live in. It is located in South/Central Phoenix. I have wanted to take a pic in front of this since we moved here. And we finally did it!!!

Law Buddies

Finals have begun and Brad is giving one last push to finish out his law school career. We went out with his law buddies and their wives last friday, and had a great time! I am so grateful Brad has had some good friends to go through law school with. They have helped him to keep his sanity!

CAMELBACK

This is a hike worth doing. Really glad I was able to do this before leaving Phoenix.

CHASE FIELD

My Professor was involved in the land acquisition for Bank One Ballpark (now Chase field). For the last day of class, we took a tour of the stadium.

This pool rents out to groups of about 30 people for $5,500 a game.

This is the Diamondback's clubhouse. This is not on the regular tour. This is a pretty big room with personal lockers lining each side. In the middle is a lounge area with couches and coffee tables. Through the door is a physical therapy room with a water therapy room to the right and a weight room straight ahead. On the way to the dugout from the clubhouse is a state of the art batting cage room.

This is the hometeam dugout. You can rent a seat just off the dugout for several thousand dollars, but once the game starts, you cannot have any contact with the players.
