29th Birthday!

The friday before my birthday I went out to dinner with three of my good girlfriends and had some cake and girl time away from kids! It was awesome!!! Other then this though my birthday was a bust!

I came home on Friday night to an inconsolable 19 month old with croup and RSV and spent the wee hours of the early morning with him in the ER because he was having such difficulty breathing.

So naturally on Saturday Brad and I had a sitter lined up so we could go out and celebrate my special day but didn't feel good leaving our little one. So Saturday was a *blah* type of day.

Sunday rolls around, my actual birthday and Brad was flying out to Florida to spend a week there for training. I was totally prepped to spend the week by myself and the kids and had plenty of crafts that I was excited to do. Until I got hit with the flu on Sunday morning and was so weak that I had to call my aunt and she came and took one look at me and I ended up in the ER because of dehydration.

Don't you worry, Jonny caught the Croup and RSV from David and so all of us stayed home all week and hunkered down.

What I can tell you is I can think of nothing worse then being a single mother. Whether voluntary or involuntary, it sucks. The only saving grace of the week was that my girlfriend from college came into town for a visit and so she was a good help.

I think I am officially moving my birthday to a different time of year. January is terrible!
