You can call me "Master Liz"

So last night I finished my last class of my Masters program!!

It felt so good to turn in my last assignment. The next homework assignment that I will do will be with one of our kids one day!

Crazy!!!

You may ask, Master Liz what will you do with your time from now on? I plan on sleeping, baking, reading for fun, scrapbooking, sewing, shopping, watching tv...yada yada yada.

Brad surprised me with two dozen yellow roses to celebrate with me last night, and we are going out to dinner this weekend. Pictures to come I am sure.

I do not bake ALL the time...

However, I do love re-creating something when I have seen it done professionally.

I made these cupcakes for my nephews as I thought they were adorable, and I made my nephews growl like a lion before they could have one. Of course the originals were better, but I do not think they are too bad.

We are headed to New York City this next week for our Spring Break! BLESSED DAY!

I have ONE class left for my Masters Degree in Education and Brad is almost done with his second year of law school! Yippee.

Valentines...

So...tis the season for love!

For the past 11 days I have been doing something for Brad everyday, that shows him how much I love him. One example of this is the picture below.

I did this to thank Brad for having such a BIG Heart in our relationship and towards me.
Last night I made heart shaped cookies for Valentine's Day.( I know, Valentine's is not till Saturday) I love decorating with chocolate though. Sorry the picture is a little blurry.

I LOVE BRAD ASHBY!
HAPPY PRE-VALENTINES DAY!

Hiking

This is a picture of our friends the Crandall's. They were kind enough to get up on a Saturday morning and take us hiking on South Mountain. It is the mountain right next to our house. It was fun because at the highest point we were able to see absolutely everything in the Phoenix valley. Thank you Landon and Kaylene!

Brad was pointing out some landmark. I was fixing my sock.

Oh the beautiful Phoenix desert in the background. haha. Brad was standing on a rock by the way, he is not that much taller than me.

Picking Fruit in February

Below you will find a picture of three grapefruit, an orange and a golf ball for perspective.

We were over at our Sunday tradition of a ward missionary meeting and we picked some fruit off of our ward mission leaders trees in the back yard, when we were done with our meeting. It was fun using the "grabber" stick to get the fruit that grows high up in the trees.
Only in Phoenix can you pick delicious fruit off a tree in February!
