Baby Shower!

So, my good friends were kind enough to throw me a baby shower. The best part was the surprise visit by Mama Ashby and Jill (Brads #2 sister). Suzi (sister #3) was also able to be there as she lives only 20 minutes away. Needless to say it was so nice to have family and close friends get together. People were more than generous. It is obvious that our little prince is already spoiled.

The last picture is of me on Sunday after church, 29 weeks along and purely just to show a good profile shot. Enjoy! 10 weeks to go!! Yippeee!!!

Fall Time

So I am about a week and a half away from being into my third tri-mester. Life has been enjoyable recently. I have been able to get a lot accomplished that I did not have energy to do in my first tri-mester.

The choice of a name for our son still continues. He is kicking up a storm and we are loving getting his room ready.

I am officially 26 weeks and 2 days along today. Just like a marathon. To bad I do not currently have the body I did when I ran my marathons. Hahaha, such is life.

GRAND CANYON

Our trip began in Williams, Arizona on Route 66 where we stayed Friday night. Williams is about an hour South of the South Entrance to the Grand Canyon.

Thanks to our friends the Crandalls for making sure we met our goal to go to the Grand Canyon this year.

Oscar De La Hoya (kind of)

Well, our little guy has started kicking. It is so fun to feel him inside of me. It makes all this chubbiness worth it.

He is most active in the morning. When I am sitting at work and eating my breakfast he really starts to wake up and the kicking begins. It is so fun!

They say, that once the mom can feel the baby it takes about a month for the husband to feel it. I am so excited to now be more than half way through.
22 weeks and counting. I have to admit... it is a little daunting to think that I am closer to labor and delivery now than I am to conception.

King Tut exhibit. It was very interesting and a fun experience.

Mom, Emily and I spent six days in San Francisco doing some shopping and sight seeing. It was fun to get away from our normal routines and just veg! Thanks Mom for a great trip!

ITS A BOY...

Well this past friday we went for my 19 week ultrasound and found out we are having a baby boy! I thought it was a boy from the get go. Brad is glad that he is able to pass on the Ashby name, and is thrilled to have a friend to watch football with. Our baby is healthy as is mommy. We are just glad the heat of the summer is slowly going away.

As you can see by the picture I am not showing very much. The doctor said to give it time. I am measuring at nineteen weeks but the baby is measuring at twenty weeks of development. So he may come sooner than the January 30th due date.
